MILLA
Stefano Milla (Turin, 29 april 1968) is an italian director, writer and
producer. His love for epic and action movies allowed him to win
many awards for his works and to partecipate to well known
festivals such as Cannes and Dragon*Con Film Festival.
His movies go to different genres like fantasy, thriller, action,
horror and historical documentary.
In 1993, with the feature film "ARMAGHEDON", he obtained his
first distribution in home video, then, after the production of
a lot of short movies that partecipate to the most important
european short film festival, in 2001, with the feature film
"LA VIA DELLA GLORIA" (The Way to Glory), with theatre
release and tv distribution, we assist to his first big
production. The movie is selected to the David di Donatello and
Ciak d'Oro awards giving to Stefano the chance to go work in
many different productions and in different types of movies.
In 2005 he has his great opening in directing a theatre play called
"I VIANDANTI DEL GRAAL" (The Graal's Quest) that
always get's the sold out. He then works on the documentary
called "SHAN" that talks about the life of the celtic
cultures of the past. The documentary was very well appriciated
ant gave him a high visibility in Italy.
Stefano Milla is also a producer: the short film "COLPEVOLE FINO A
PROVA CONTRARIA" (Guilty until Proved Innocence) was at the
Cannes Film Festival in the section Kodak Showcase in 2006.
He then start to work as a director in the wrestling world with many
famous stars like Scott Stainer, Cristian Cage, Booker-T and
Ultimate Warrior. He will also directed a TV pilot with the
wrestler Kishi and Black Pearl as main actors.
Now he is working to a new feature film called "CLAANG: THE
GAME", based on a short movie that he also directed that
was playing at the Dragon*Con Independent Film Festival.
The experience and the skills that he got in these years, make Stefano
Milla a unique director, capable of mixing the classic rules of
filmaking and a new sperimantal style.
